With all the modern means that are available, why have the flight recorders not been found as of yet? Coupled with a muiltiy country involvement. [and many millions of tax payers money have been used to do it on again coupled with milatary involvement]. It makes modern systems to sound to be stupid or all of us being "conned" by the powers that be? [and red faces on the ones concerned]. Unless we are being "miss informed". When it was said by many countries years ago that it was impossible not to find such a thing!.

| are there jcpenny stores in china? for my marketing class i have to pick a brand/retail store/product that would be a good choice of expansion in a global market. i have to make sure the product or store is not already selling there. i have to choose between china,brazil,india and russia. i was thinking the jcpenny store in china. i have read that some of the clothes from jcpenney are mae in china. so if they are made in china and shipped to the store in china wouldnt that save them money. instead of sending them all the way to the us. There are too many smaller competing brands, and i see shops and every whole shopping centres closing after a year of business. Not enough of a retail market here, few people buying in relation to the amount of stores and products. In the US it is very consumer driven, everyone is looking to buy better clothes, material goods, etc. Also the RRP (retail price) would be a lot higher in the US compared to here. Goods are made in China because here has cheap wages, cheap wages mean people have less expendable income, meaning here is not the greatest place to be selling. |

The Royal Botanic Gardens at Kew Gardens in England has just published a report stating that 20% of all plant species are endangered, and likely to become extinct in my lifetime. The main culprit is the ongoing destruction of the rainforests in order to create farmland, and the main driving force is the Free Market. Brazil has vowed to clear the Amazon in its drive to modernisation; President Suharto sold logging rights to all the virgin forests in Indonesia. It is only a matter of time before treaty agreements between corrupt regimes and China clears the great forests in Africa too. There is little left of the slow-growing Siberian forests closest to the Chinese border. One effect of clearing the forests is that there are no longer roots to bind the soil, which blows or washes away leaving it little use for farming after a few years. Since creationists believe that all species were created by God as they are now, do they also believe that they cannot just disappear because some businesses are making money converting wilderness to palm plantations to power their SUVs when the oil runs out? It is impossible for us to control what they do. Painting with a broad brush today. Not all creationists believe the same thing. Not all Tea Party followers drive SUVs... BTW: Most creationists are taught that we are to take care of the planet. Massive deforestation projects are not considered proper care.

I hope they care about the environment. What people don't understand is that, yes, species come and go on their own. But we (humans) have sped that up far too quickly. Just turn on the Discovery Channel or Animal Planet, where they document polar bears over a 10 year span and see how quickly the ice really is melting. WE did that. It may have happened on its own eventually but it shouldn't be happening right now. People are just selfish and in denial. There's going to have to be a point where we change our behavior and even try to control the population. Hopefully whatever party is in Washington will understand this!

I think not. but I was thinking that I will pay less taxes...would that even be effective if he does not live here for a while? either way...either way, I will have to be married by law- cuz I will consider me single, I dont believe in marriage- FOR THREE YEARS!!! I am getting $5,000 ahead then $5,000 once he comes. When you split $10,000 it does not sound like a lot. But I could use the money for that nice trip I want to make to Brazil. OPINIONS?? and he will get a job when he comes here..I dont even know the guy but he comes from an educated family. I am not sleeping with the guy but yeah prison is scary. YOU ARE ALL ON POINT!!! My parents said they are up to spend any amount of money on my party. I am going to the following countries already: France, Spain, Portugal, England, Greece. Do you think this is a good summary of the book "Amerigo Vespucci" by Felipe Fernandez Armesto. sorry its so long its from the review website but ive been trying to read the book for a month for research and its soooo boring:0 4/25/2007, is the 500th anniversary of an extraordinary event: the naming of America. The story of how it happened is a murky tale of intrepid seafarers and failed business ventures, naive scientists and greedy publishers, and dishonesty. Above all, it is the tale of Amerigo Vespucci, a small-time Florentine trader with a talent for self-promotion who reinvented himself as explorer and stargazer, and whose reputation has since become entangled in webs of myth. Felipe Fernández-Armesto's eminently readable book carefully disentangles these webs to show the part Vespucci actually played in the story. Vespucci's background was modest, though the family had connections with the powerful Medici clan that effectively ruled 15th-century Florence. The son of a notary who expected great things from his offspring, Vespucci was educated by humanists, studying Latin (not very successfully) and geography, then fashionable in Florentine academic circles, where classical treatises like Ptolemy's Geographia sparked a debate on the possibility of sailing across the Atlantic to reach the spice islands of the Indies. Vespucci was a disappointment to his father; despite his education, he chose trade, buying and selling gems for clients and operating more dubious sidelines in blackmail and pimping. His businesses didn’t prosper, and by March 1492, Vespucci was in Seville, working for a fellow Florentine, Gianotto Berardi, one of the backers of Columbus's historic journey across the Atlantic. The first account of Vespucci's voyages, Mundus Novus (New World), was published in Florence, 1504.
