Is Carbon Tax and Trade Just Another Corporate Welfare Program?

Is Carbon Tax and Trade Just Another Corporate Welfare Program?
Face it, corporations like GE and Phillips are making big bucks selling everything from silly mercury filled lights to wind turbines with the help of government subsidies and mandates. Is this Cap and Tax bill just another massive corporate give away? Is it just more status quo corporate welfare? And if given US tax money, should GE build their wind turbines in the US instead of Brazil?

Presumably, the "Trade" part will work much like the stock market, and *anyone* (with money) will be able to buy credits and make money if they can sell them at a higer price. We might even get derivatives and bailouts -- just like the stock market.

Unfortunately the wind turbines they are producing are the wrong design and they have a very short lifespan because of this. A more suitable design is being used with great success in 3rd world countries but it is not attractive enough for US liberals to use and besides it is to cheap and easy to make for a liberal to use. http://groups.yahoo.com/group/mlprojects5/files/Power/ This one while not very pretty is far more functional and can be built right into the house, garage or barn with little effort.
