What should I be when I grow up?

What should I be when I grow up?
I used to always have a plan about what I was going to do when I got out of the house but as of right now I am COMPLETELY clueless about what I want to be when I get out of high school and it's bugging the crap out of me! :/ Okay so some of the things that I've thought about being were: Plastic Surgeon Neurologist Child Psychiatrist Marine Biologist Writer Film Director Screenwriter CIA Agent && the list just goes on.... I used to think all I wanted was to make lots of money, but who doesn't? Now, I know that I just want to be happy. We've all heard that saying: "Love what you do and you'll never work a day in your life." Well I kind of want to live by that but at the same time I want to make enough money to support a family. A lot of people have told me I could be a model but that industry is way tough and I'm only 5'4. I'm a pretty introverted person, I guess you can say. I am a BIG dreamer. I can't get through the day without doing it, but all of that wishful thinking has REALLY left me down :/ I love reading and I have tried writing but I just seem to kind of push it off and forget about it. I also love learning about new countrys and cultures. I want to be able to speak a couple of different languages when I get older and I have about a million different countrys I've said that I was going to live in. I love watching Dr. 90210 and i love learning about how the body works, especially the brain/nervous system. That's why I've considered being a Plastic Surgeon or a Neurologist; and I just love, love, love the Classics <33 I'm a strong believer in the saying: "Nothing beats the Classics." I'm in love with old gray/white films, the Victorian Age, Classic Disney movies that came out before I was born, Ballet performances, ballroom dancing and Classical music. Oh, and I LOVE lingerie, too! Lol; but one of the things that really gets me is helping the less fortunate. It warms my heart to help others, especially young children. I want to do some volunteer work with the orphan children in Brazil when I get out of high school. Well I hope you can help me with this. I hate not having a plan. Thank You :)) Oh yeah, I would like to be a Plastic Surgeon, Pshychiatrist, of Neurologist but I dont think I'm up for all of that dang school!

You kind of eliminated most of those jobs because you don't want to go to school. You'll need a degree for every one of those! A CIA agent sounds awesome, and a marine biologist is probably the best job on the list. You have plenty of time to decide, because you can go to school at any age, so I'd try starting with what you like best, interning or similar, then making a decision from there.

Okay, wow, you sound a lot like me. I want to do so many things, but just don't know exactly what I want to do with my life. I love learning about different cultures too and I really want to travel to a third world country and help set up an orphanage or health clinic. haha Anyway, back to your plan.. As for being a plastic surgeon, Neurologist, Psychiatrist, and all those ones where you need to get into medical school after you get your bachelor's degree, you have to know if you'll be able to go through so that much school because after medical school, you'd have to go through a more years of internship and residency. Yep, so if you don't want to go through all that, I suggest you cross those off your list. You could be a pediatrician; I think the process is a LITTLE shorter. Or you could be a registered nurse if you like learning how the body works. (its a really good, stable job and you're basically guaranteed work). I would probably do that, but I like working outdoors. As for film writer, screenwriter, its hard to make a lot of money because that industry is just too.. unstable. but you could always write for fun and maybe get lucky.
