How expensive is it to travel the world?

How expensive is it to travel the world? At the moment, I'm only 15, but I'd really love to travel the world. I'm not planning to go until after I've been to uni so it is a long way off. My dad used to work on a luxury cruise ship for 5 years so he travelled the world a number of times. I would love to travel to areas of the world that I've never been to, but the cost seems too high. I want to go to: China Japan Singapore Malaysia Australia New Zealand Brazil Mexico USA Canada I would plan on staying in each country for about 1 week and would like to plan my trip within events eg Chinese New Year, Christmas in Canada etc. I will go with about 4 other people but only be paying for myself. Obviously, I realise that this would be very expensive, so I don't have to go to every country all in one trip. I could do the Asia, North+South America and Oceania trips in 3 separate holidays. Questions: So, going by today's economy, how much do you think it would cost? I plan to create iPhone apps in my own time as I've already had success and make a fair bit of money. If I make £25,000 per year for 3 years at uni and save what I don't spend on rent, electric, gas etc would I have enough money? Do you have any tips? What sort of insurance would I need? With a job then, you would have health coverage, travel paid, and get a salary. Usually you would need to become a specialist in your field, so that you are hired as a problem solver in your field. Or you could go the education route, Or you could get into embassy work.
