What is a good job for a foreigner with no college degree?
I didn't get any answers on a previous question, but I need to know of a good job that I came make pretty good money with WITHOUT a college degree. The particular country is Brazil is that matters. I would like to be able to make enough money to support a family and, you know, have things. Does anybody have any ideas? And NOT the internet selling sites that I constantly get answers from - - By the way, I'm American and wanting to go to Brazil

What are you skills? Customer service is a place where you can always get work, especially if you speak multiple languages. Retail is another good one. Both places will provide for fairly quick advancement.

How can I highlight my blogs on my resume?
I run two cultural blogs where I teach people about Brazil & Colombia as well as teach the Portuguese language. I have been doing this for 2 years, averaging 40 posts per month and will shortly reach 1,000 posts. I keep it as professional as possible and receive a good amount of traffic on a daily basis, therefore I would like to highlight it on my resume. The only thing is I make no money from this. Thanks

What do i do with foreign coins?
I live in The United States and i ordered coins from France, China, India, Jamaica, Zimbabwe, Brazil, and Peru. What can i do with these coins? can i sell them online or trade them in at a currency exchange? They are all inoculated and in total cost me about $25 so i want to be paid equally or even make money.

Well in my opinion, it's really cool having coins/money from other countries. If you really don't care for it, than yeah you can exchange it. You also can keep it to use maybe again.. Not sure.

Well, if you trade them, the cost of the exchange would end up cutting the value. You do have to pay a fee to exchange currency. I don't know what your intent was, but you won't break even and certainly not a profit.

How well could I live in brazil with 100K?
assuming I bought a small piece of land and was able to make an income off of that land, how far would that amount of money get me, or would it get me anywhere.

Your not saying how much income is being produce on that land. The average household wage is roughly 6000 u.s.d. per year. Many of these folks are living in poverty. You could live o.k. in the campo (country) but even a simple flat in Sao Paolo or Rio would wipe out 30-40 percent of your 100000. If you have other funds, the amount listed would be sufficient to get you started, but it would not be an easy road.

I mean all semites, not only jews, my father immigrated to Brazil from Lebanon when he was a year old only,he study medicine and become a millionaire by investing in real state, how come many semites make money like water just by working and using their brains? not only semites got money but it seems that most people that are born poor and become successful are semites. Beautiful Sunset: I'm not talking specifically about a country, I'm talking about people that immigrates to another country and are successful, Norway is not one of the 3 richest countries,Norway is the 25 on the GDP list. the 3 richest countries are U.S, China and Japan. NOW if you're talking about HDI then maybe Norway is on the top, but remember HDI doesn't mean money or wealth, it means life quality,how many people in Norway got 10 million dollars in cash? or maybe even a million dollar?

History, as usual, is the answer. For an approx. 1000 years the jews in Europe were not allowed any other profession. Especially not "healthy" professions such as working the land or be a soldier. They basically had no other option than to direct themselves to money matters, becoming the first "banks"... as this was usually seen as a dirty profession. Obviously, if you have to do that for generations on end, you cannot help becoming good at it, handing it over from generation to generation. (And, obviously, also THAT then becomes a reason for jealousy or prejudice). I always find it so devestatingly unjust to blame a people for something - since they were MADE so by the own forefathers of those who throw the insult.

How to help my 5 years daughter to have a good education, without money?
I live in Brazil and the education is very weak, poor. I need to find sites on the internet to help me with her education! Also we live in the country, in a farm, so the schools around here make me "sad". I'm really unhappy! Please help me!

If you just do an internet search you will find all sorts of sites with different lessons that are age appropriate. Good luck. You sound like a mother who really wants the best for her child.

read to her and have her read to you. go to the PBS.org site. they have lots of good things to do for children. if you can't get books, find other websites for children. reading is the best thing she can do. on all subjects.

Are you a citizen of another country living in Brazil? If so, you can probably see the curriculum of that country online. Otherwise, go online and look at the curriculum of the UK or the US or whatever. See if you can follow it on your own. Aside from that, the best way I think to educate a child is to have lots of conversation with them. Many kids lack attention span and verbal skills because they never talk to adults- they're always around other kids or in front of the TV/computer. Second, you need to make sure your daughter reads a lot, and consider it a part of school. Make sure she reads fiction and non-fiction, and get the topics to follow the curriculum topics of the UK or US or any place you consider as having a good education. Just go to the library a lot and they will help you. Third, follow her math progress and supplement it with problems online to see how she is doing. Finally, make sure she writes a lot, and work with her to revise and edit her writing. One word of warning, though. If you are going to undertake something like this, keep in mind how stressful it would be for a kid to go to school all day then come home and be expected to do more and harder work. Maybe you should look into homeschooling if you are educated enough yourself. I think you will have to spend some money though. Probably you'll have to spend on some books and frequent trips to a city with a good library. Nothing is free.

My child was diagnosed to have never caught up with his peer group. Now my child is 2 grades ahead of the other students his age. This is what I did. I bought him only learning video's and cd's or tapes the first 5 years of his life. These are things I bought on clearance. Buy foam alphabet letters and several cheap packs of them becuase they can use these to spell words while taking a bath. A cheap way to teach her math is to have her use your money to buy your groceries or goods while shopping. If you need a pound of cheese and meat let her make out the list and give her the money. My child wanted pudding everytime we went to the store so I did not give him enough for the most expensive brand but only enough for mid-brand and he would always by the cheapest and use the rest for candy or save it for another visit. We lived in another country so he used Euro and now has to learn how to use American Money. Read to your girl everyday. Get into character and act out each part. Teach her how to cook cold foods since she is so young. Weigh your sandwiches if you have a food scale. Measure them with a ruler. She will learn a lot about weight of a sandwich, how long the meat and bread will last or how many sandwichs can be made out of a bag of rolls or bread slices. Use everything in your house that you can to teach math or reading. Like directions on a recipe. Give her a little apron so she can be proud of her work and her relationship to her wonderful Mommy who wants her to learn. Let her bandage a cut for you so she learns how to take care of the hurting. Then make sure there are no bandages to be found later and ask her what she could use to stop the blood or cover the wound. This allows a child a chance to think on an adult level and you will be amazed at what she will use.

Since school is not compulsory there until age 7, just spend the next couple of years focusing on teaching her the alphabet, the sounds of the alphabet, how to read and write, basic math... You don't really need to use anything specific. Just start showing her how to right the letters of the alphabet and what the sounds are, then simple words and the like. Now, homeschooling past age 7 is currently banned in Brazil. If you think you might want to teach her long-term, now would be the time to start getting involved and try to have those laws changed.

Well, if you're really serious about this, the US has a foreign exchange program that would help trumendously. I don't think they'd let her do the program at such a young age but when she's a bit older, it'd be a great thing to do. I'd get more information about it :) Also, the US offeres scholar ships and grants and such to people in situations like yours. Again, get more information. Good Luck!
