What happened To 1994 USA?

What happened To 1994 USA?
Please convince me that there is 5-10 national team members that were missing from the USAvsHON game that at this moment would have been at this game who would have made a difference. I'll help Donavon, Altidodre, Bradley, Beasly and maybe two others ( not all getting quality time at there clubs ) but have 3 world class goalies. Now honduras W. Palacios, H. Thomas,D. Suaso, Figeroa ( U know from that goal) who are getting quality time at top league. I would believe the game would have been the same or maybe worse for the US. So what happened to 1994 Wynalda, Harkes,Stewart,Ramos,Lalas,Doley,Wergle,Balboa,Jones,Sober even H. Perez, and more I know what happened they lost to Brazil, but they played well very professional together any team friendly or legit. I told my self 10 yrs from now 94 the usa a top 10 world team. Seeing the influx of immigrants Caribbean, latin, asian, euro, african I mean we are the melting pot why not the ultimate team. but what do I see I see an Aborigine and Finch catalog, college kids american college style college coaching. jWe are better than that we are american. We hope they are not selling an image, those in charge I hope they are not the ones who thought david beck to the MLS was great way to learn soccer, I hope it wasn't to make money, I don't know but I know there are better players than this. there qualification to the cup wasnt an excellent show, but their going , but how far will they get.. Lucky if they get 2 Points How do U feel are we on course to win the cup or failure. Is this the best we can find.

When was the last time you met an immigrant from a socialized country?

When was the last time you met an immigrant from a socialized country?
Why don't people from Switzerland, Germany, Italy, Norway, Sweden, Australia, Ireland, France etc, move to America anymore? I have met several recent immigrants from Mexico, Guatemala, Russia, the Ukraine, Serbia, Colombia, Brazil and The Phillipnes, countries with terribly low standards of living. Recently I had friends from Sweden who' father was very well off in the entertainment business but they left the U.S. saying that it wasn't what they expected, I took this as the most polite way they could say it. I had a business aquaintence from New Zealand same story she lasted 2 years and said that America was far too expensive and dirty, and she couldn't believe that we considered ourselves the best country in the world. Two friends of mine from the Czech Republic said that America was good to make money but they would never live here otherwise saying that the people were too ignorant to hold a conversation. And I caught an interview with the heirs to Wales, when asked their opinion of the U.S. one said, "Awful". And why are many wealthy families now leaving for Singapore and Hong Kong and U.A.E.? Such as Jim Rogers, the most successful international fund manager in America, saying that the U.S. is set for a total collapse. And even Dick Cheney has purchased a retirement home in Dubai. Also it was reported that Mr. Cheney had taken up a short position on U.S. dollar investments. Is there something going on that us Americans aren't being told? Hey Paul, I don't mind leaving the U.S. there is just a couple of problems. First if I leave I have to pay 44% of my worldwide assets to the IRS. You see there is a provision in the Hero's Act passed into law this year that obliges the IRS to seize my property for leaving a so called free country. Also I have to pay taxes to the U.S. even though I would be earning and living somewhere else, the U.S. is the only country in the world with this policy. As well even though the door is wide open for any one to enter this country, other country's are very difficult to immigrate to, for example Switzerland requires you to deposit $1,000,000 into its banks and have command of 3 languages. So there fore unless you are willing to provide assistance I suppose I will be staying.

Funny you bring that last line up. I was talking to my dad the other day (who has been in real estate for over 3 decades), and he said he thinks America will make it out of this downturn, but he doesn't think we'll make it out of the next one. We have begun socializing so much that we won't be able to sustain ourselves in a downturn, and there will be near anarchy, with lots of looting and other crimes. That's just his opinion, he could be wrong. But it makes you stop and think.
3 :
I was raised half in the US and half in the UK. If I had to choose today which country to stay in I would choose the UK. Back in the 80's I choose the US. I wanted to go to college, and that was the biggest factor. But I can tell you, comparatively as far as health care, care for the elderly, politeness, decency, primary educationm the US is as backwards as any industrialized country can get. I would go home in a second if I could.
4 :
a few years ago I went to college with several. They believe the American government restricts its people to much to allow them to be happy. The ones I met were wondering where the freedom actually was. All they saw was us getting controlled from the time we wake to the time we go to sleep with the only freedom we actually enjoyed was when our eyes were closed. Their government was paying for them to go to college here, and paying them a large stipend for living expenses. they had no worries but school. It is no wonder foreign students do so well, and we have to hire them to fill positions. they thought America was all screwed up tryig to regulate the wrong things if we really wanted our people to be happy and free.
5 :
I know people that have moved here from Europe. The close friends that remained say that they pay about 60% in taxes. They have universal health care and other rich government managed programs. Immigrants move into that nation because they can live off the government. There is a lot of racial tension because of the poor that migrate there and feed and suck the life out of that country. I can only imagine what would happen here if all the liberals got their way. I prefer the true American way where you work for what you have. No free handouts.
6 :
I think sometimes that US is paranoid and must spend big chunk of its federal budget on defense and military presence... I would love to see any of the counties you have listed above spending this much on military and social programs as well... I agree, we have been a leader (or police, which ever word you prefer) of the world for so long that we forgot about our Internal affairs... Our economy is on it's knees, big part of population is uneducated and unhealthy, majority works for dimes and no one complains!!! I lived in Western Europe few years, not everything is so great there either... however standards of life are higher if you are successful. It is harder to find good professional job, job demand is high but required qualifications are much higher this there is a great competition... Listen, it is great to live anywhere if you have money, however US is land of opportunity (I hate to sound like broken record), if you put an effort, you can make it...

Should you marry the one you love, or a doctor?

Should you marry the one you love, or a doctor?
Be the most honest you can be. RIght now i've been going out with my bf for 8 months. He's been perfect to me and Ive been to him. We both never had cheating problems ...actually we never had problems. maybe a little jealousy which came more from my part. I know his family when he doesnt know mine (private reasons). He says he loves and he does show it. everyone can tell i guess. thats what my friends say. His friends call me Mrs.X (Letter of his last name) However, we are both 20 and in college. he's a little irresponsible. he likes to party a lot and enjoying the years in college. thats cool too i guess. BUt im the type of girlt that always wanted to get married early in life. have kids early in life too. Since i started working at this hospital i've noticed one of the doctors began to "check me out". he is a little older but he's a very nice guy. every one loves him at the hospital. I also come form a poor family. Im an immigrant from Brazil and live here busting my butt with my family and going to school. I have this mindset that im going to finish school and make money. I just have that goal...the life that my mom had growing up...i am not giving that to my kids. So this doctor asked me out to dinner. Hes been flirting with me also. not a big deal. What should i do?

A man should always marry the woman he loves. A woman will always marry the money she loves.
2 :
Don't be in too much of a rush to start your family. My wife and I were married when we were 22 and started having kids at 26. Those 4 years together with just the two of use were great and really laid a solid foundation for our marriage. I would say give your college guy a chance to mature if you really love him. Don't cheat on him. The playboy doctor will still be there if the frat boy blows it.
3 :
A 20 year old college guy may not want to get married for several years yet. If you are even considering dating another man, then I don't know how in love you truly are with Mr. x. Just saying... But a word of caution... an older doctor may want to simply have some fun with a younger girl. A dinner date isn't a proposal, so watch yourself. Get to know him, his family and his goals. I've been played by older men who like to go out with young girls. Is he divorced? Does he have a rep? Coming from where you do, I'm sure you've got smarts. Just be careful with an older dr!
4 :
My suggestion is to wait until YOU can give that life to your children before you even think about having them. The divorce rate is extremely high and if you get married whether it is for love or money it still can end badly. Finish college first! Have fun but don't start a family until you are sure you can provide the kind of life you want them to have by yourself. If you marry and the guys got money - that's great. But stuff happens and people can change and have changes of heart. As for the doctor and the college boy, that is up to you. It does sound like you aren't as in to him(boyfriend) as he is to you just by your question. If you are just keeping him around because he treats you well and nobody better has come along yet maybe you should let him go so he can find someone that see's him in their future.

Experience for animal career + college?

Experience for animal career + college?
Now, I already asked what should I do when I am older because i am in love with animals. I want to own a rescue in Africa some day but to get to that point i need to have a plan. So I decided to start with a job. That also got me thinking about college i wanna go for nutrtion and zology. but since im 13 all i can do is make money.. and get experience. and idk what experience they are looking for, i need ideas. I own two birds and two dogs. I work in a grooming salon... Posh Pet. I lived on a farm in Brazil for one week. I dont know what other experience i could have?

You need to do great in HS to get into college. So getting experience with animals is great, don't let it get in the way of your grades. You will need high grades to get into a good college. Your grades and your ACT score is going to matter more to colleges than how much experience you have with animals. You can major in zoology without having high school experience with animals. Do some community work with animals at a shelter. You are going to need community volunteer hours anyways for HS.
2 :
You have very high expectations, and that is a good thing! Take as many higher level math and science classes as you can. It is not enough to just take them, though-do your very best in them. Get all of the experience with animals that you can. I suggest volunteering at your local SPCA, shadowing your vet, and getting involved in a local animal rescue organization. The experience of having pets is good, but not 'good enough'. Keep a journal. Write down your observations of them, and your experiences with them as it would be relevant to your career goal-for instance, your observation of them acting abnormally and what you think is the problem adn/or the fix, and then compare that to what the vet says. The American Red Cross offers Pet First Aid classes. Take one! I would study Africa, as well, if that is where you want to live and work some day. You will need to study the animals that live there, the history, the culture, the language. Learn about non profits and the rules and regulations of them-this is another reason why it would be good for you to get involved with one locally. You do not need to know just how to care for the animals, but also how to raise funds to be able to operate, etc. Do your very best in all of your courses. You still need to have fun, though-be sure to do extracurricular activities such as playing a Sport, learning to play a musical instrument, etc. Also, a veterinary degree might be beneficial and/or necessary. Start looking into that now! And if you want, contact me. I have an 11 year old daughter that aspires to be a vet, and we have done a lot of research into the requirements and various resources. I wish you the best!

I was born in the wrong country?? Pls comment?
I was born in brazil but I always felt like I don't belong here, honestly since I was a little boy I would choose a can of coke and a Mcdonald's Burger instead of a weird brazilian dish, I learned english by myself watching cable tv "it's not that good but"... among other things that make people crazy here.like my american flag on my house my muscle car etc... I know the some people may think it's cheesy but I LOVE AMERICA and I'm not talking about the opportunity of making money cause I'm fairly wealthy even to America's standards. I really don't know how to explain All I know is that I wish I was born in America. Please comment thanks I would trade a german family noble title for it. and just for the record I don't need any money I don't need any job I worth many millions of USD exactly 65.000.000.00

Well, it is nice to hear someone in another country who isn't bashing the USA! Thank you for that. Ever think of emigrating to the USA? Get your burgers and Coke from the real source! Have you ever visited "our" country? In my younger years I was absolutely convinced that I was born in the wrong country and longed to live in England. I still like England but in my older years I have come to respect, appreciate and cherish the country of my birth, the United States of America. Have a wonderful Christmas.

Hello I completely understand you, and yes i felt the same when i was young, for some reason my culture in my country and everything seemed just wrong to be, and i felt always out of place, and yes i came to the USA, and it was not easy to stay, i have to kissed a lot of american asses until I got my paper, now i created my company, and kick american asses, and we are very successful providing advisory to Fortune 500 companies. Do you think I thought I could be an entrepreneur in the USA and with the levels of people I work with, it is incredible, I finished my Phd in the USA, and I am proud of it, I pay taxes with pride, and no I do not miss my country one single day. I know it is beautiful, great beaches, great people, but for some reason, sometimes you cannot be a prophet in your land. When I am home, i do not feel any desire to do anything creative, I have no ideas, I have no challenges, in the USA everyday is something new that comes to my head, and I love this country with its good and bad things.
7 :
This is so me ! I actually came to america two years ago , been dreamin of this all my life , no need for money i was middle upper class for american standars ,left everything ..my family , friends everything i knew ... To be here ... Found love on a great american man ..lol we got married a year ago , and im on my way to become an american citizen , im sure when the day comes , its gonna be the best day of my life , good luck man ! Take a risk make ur dreams and the life u want happen :)
8 :
with all that money you can buy a Green card very easily you need an EB-5
9 :
So what is your question ?
10 :
Well, you are lucky you are wealthy. Wealthy people can easily immigrate anywhere, including the US. Its poor people that countries try to keep out. If you have money, just hire a lawyer in the US. He can get you a green card in no time. You may be needed to answer some questions about the US constitution and history, but its piece of cake. I am brazilian too, and I dont love the US, nor do I love Brazil. I love the world and humanity. ps: what the hell do you mean with "weird brazilian dish"? Brazilian dishes are pretty international and Burguer and Cokes are good OCCASIONALLY, but they are responsible for the huge levels of obesity in the US. I am sure many americans will frown at your teenager naive obcessed way of looking at burguers and coke. most americans with a minimum of self respect and good taste will avoid burguers and coke unless they are out of time and need fast food.

I am 20, no job. I have 15000$.?

I am 20, no job. I have 15000$.?
I am young, free, and ready to explore this world on my own. I have recently graduated from university and because I haven't been able to find a job for the last month I feel like saying "fuck it" and enjoying my life. I have no debt, no kids, no relationships I am tied down to, no place that I call home, and no problems. I have yet to be sapped of my youth from a mundane cubicle corporate job and I have yet to become jaded by the problems of this world. So I have 15000$ in my pocket, a good friend, and a backpack. I want to pack my laptop, a week's worth of clothing, some money, and survival equipment and just travel. I am thinking of leaving the USA for an undetermined amount of time to travel the world. We will most likely start from New York and make our way through the continental United States, into Mexico and travel through Central America and South America for 1.5 years. I am fluent in Spanish and French, so the language barrier won't be an issue except for in Brazil. Afterward we will most likely backpack Europe, North Africa, and then Southeast Asia over 3 years. In total the round the world trip will take 5 years, but we plan to live in places until we grow bored of them. We are young, fit, ready to party, learn new cultures, and embrace the world before we become too old to enjoy it. We both have skills with programming and website design so we can make money wherever there is an internet connection. We can survive below our means when traveling so financing the trip isn't an issue. We calculated that it would cost about 30$ a day in South America, India, Pakistan, and Central America, and North Africa; 50$a day in Europe and South East Asia. Should we just fuck conforming to the expected social norms, put off a family and getting married, and live out the dream? We have no responsibilities now, so why not wait to gain them? I do have a passport.

What is the movie I am thinking about? 10 PTS + 5 STARS!!?
The movie takes place in Brazil. Its about an american guy, his sister, and his sisters friend, and maybe another guy. They get stuck in Brazil because they missed the bus that takes them to the airport. Anyways I remember along in the movie that they trust some guy that lives in Brazil to take them to his Uncles house because they needed a place to stay. Anyways the sisters friend get killed because the guys uncle is apparently a guy that sells body parts to make money. And his sister barely lives. In the end i think they go back to the US.

Brazil, France USA in same draw?

Brazil, France USA in same draw?
Would it surprise you to see USA once again in the group of death (hardest group) when the draws come out on Dec 4th? After all, it seems that FIFA always is tough on USA plus France must be punished for Henry's handball vs Ireland, so it only makes sense to insure that only one team will advance to 2nd round if Brazil is also in that group. The fourth team, I don't know but if the 3 of us are togther I seriously doubt Brazil wouldn't advance. If I had betting money for draws,I'd put it on France and USA are in same group along with a top seed like Brazil. Anyone have a thought on that? If my question can be delayed until Dec 4th, I'll reward the best answer then. Thanks everyone!

I like the country france.....but I really dislike the French national team...dont ask me why so if france and the US are going to be in the same group....france is obviously going to knock us out.... yet giving me another reason tgo really dislike the french team......
3 :
YOUR RIGHT BUT I DOUBT BRAZIL WILL BE WITH THEM MOST LIKELY LIKE SPAIN OR ITALY R GOING TO THAT GROUP...
4 :
France is a favourite (cus of their last WC status), so is Brazil, so it's quite improbable that they would be in the same grp at first. And I'm not too sure about the *punishment* business though, I mean Henry's handball was the most obvious and the most result-determining fault that has been committed, but it is not the only fault/mistake/cheat ever during the qualifiers for this WC. It's just unfortunate for both teams (yes both teams, in different aspects) that he cheated and it turned into a goal, and that goal kicked Ireland out of the World cup. Ireland and other countries have also had dodgy faults that got them through far enough, they all had their chances, and FIFA wouldn't base the grouping on a fault, or a ref's mistake, because it would just be endless...

Aren't Americans more at risk of terrorist attack because we are a superpower?
People say that our bloated military makes them feel secure. Not me. If we had a more peaceful and less imperialistic foreign policy - like say Brazil - we would save money, be less threatened with terrorism, and be just as safe in our borders. Americans are more at risk because of our religious beliefs? What religion is that?

Has nothing to do with being a superpower and everything to do with religious beliefs.
2 :
No, they're at risk because they ignore international law, invade without provocation, and torture foreign nationals while detaining them indefinitely without a trial.
3 :
the only threat we are facing is state sponsored terrorism
4 :
No, though to some extent I'm sure it has to do with the way we use our "bloated military".
5 :
We're at risk because of our continued support of Israel. Cut them off completely and our terrorism problem would be gone.

Do you think this would make money and b) do you think it would work due tothe fact that will we be able @ get duristiction and would we overide the actual police force i,e would this be a viable option ormerely a frivolous idea that just wouldnt work. I'm making peanut butter fudge. I have a 4 ingredient recipe - it's cheap, easy, and GOOD! For a 13 x 9 inch pan: 4 sticks of butter (I like blue bonnet best) 16 - 18 oz peanut butter (creamy works best) 1 tsp vanilla (or to tast) 2 lbs powdered sugar Melt and heat butter and peanut butter just to boiling point. Turn off. Add vanilla and powdered sugar into pan. Cool and cut. The pan does not have to be buttered. TIPS: I have found that if you line the pan with foil, after the fudge sits, you can lift it out, so you can make another batch pretty quickly. I also have a ruler that I keep in the kitchen with my pizza cutter to help it to make nice clean lines. Also, if you put both the ruler and pizze cutter in the fridge to get them cold, they will cut smoother. After cutting, place in small boxes or tins, have fun decorating and give them out! This is really a pretty cheap gift but it looks like you spent a small fortune! Hope that gives you and idea! Happy Holidays!

Will I have trouble marrying my foreign girlfriend a such a young age?
I am from the UK and my girlfriend is from Brazil. We are both 21 years old and we plan to marry soon. She plans to come and live with me in the UK, and although I hold a steady job as a chef, and she plans to work here when she arrives, the current economic status here makes me think that they will reject our fiancee visa application on the grounds that we will not have enough money to support ourselves. She will work in the services industry, too, and so we will both be living on full time minimum wage hours. What is the likelihood of our application being successful?

religion and its Showbizz matters?
hello everyone, I was wondering if some of you have noticed the "show" that is going on in brazil since the pope is there, the guy looks like a rock star with a huge legion of fans... it seems to me quite fake and political especially when lots of people are dying of hunger around the globe, of course doesn't surprise me coming from the Catholic Church... and I wonder, is that what they expect us to beleive in??? is that the god's message (if there's one)??? I don't really think so, in any case the message is to love each other, not to make money using others!, hope some day they get busted in their lies. What do you think??? ... is this question last 1 hour before reported I'll be happy.

Honestly, now...can you see Peter behaving this way? Peter, with those robes, or that silly hat? Peter, with that expensive ring on his finger? Peter, with people kneeling at his feet? Somehow, I just don't think so.....

Should Mexico play without "europeos" in el hexagonal?

Should Mexico play without "europeos" in el hexagonal?
Sorry for typing alot ;-) Well, I heard this on futbol picante, honestly i believe a stupid suggestion by a stupid reporter. Newho, should Mexico play with out the players in Europe in official games for el hexagonal? What some people are arguing is that, there isnt enough playing time together because of the lack of practice games together. an example: there is a qualifying game on a certain day, a european player like Marquez, dosent get to Mexico till two/three days before the actual game. Is that enough time for him to adapt to the team, as a team? (of course Marquez is a bad example since he always plays good) making this suggestion since now Mexico has about 11/12 mexican players in europe. Should Sven Erickson just forget about the european players and just play with players here in Mexico? argument being that the problem with el tri is the lack of playing as a TEAM, saying that there is no chemestry because of the lack of playing time together. Also knowing that freindlies are always in the US and european players are never called. What should be done in my opinion, is that freindlies should be played in Europe, were the European players are....dosent that make sense?!?! instead of flying 8-9 players to the US (for a freindly) why not fly 3-4 players from Mexico to europe and have freindlies out there in Europe...to me makes more sense if we want el tri to have more chemestry together...even though we all know that freindlies arnt to improve the seleccion but to make money from the packed stadiums in the US. I mean teams like Argentina, Brazil, and even Paraguay play in europe for all the right reasons, even the US is doing it!!!! c'mon FMF Opinions on all this??????????

my opinion is that we used to play a heck of a lot better when most of our players were Mexico-club based like in 2005 in the confeds when we were outplaying argentina and we only had ONE european player who was Marquez but like you said he's always good.
2 :
Its all those faggots at the top of the FMF that are screwing things up, instead of having Friendlies in Europe, they have them in USA to get MONEY, but our europeans cannot go, so when it comes to a WCQ match for example, they play like crap. Superliga Interliga is crap, its about making money in the USA, the Mexican clubs do not gain Benefits, just injuries. its a win win for the USA, they make money and, while Mexico is playing in the USA with 4th string that will never be used, USA is playing with full squad in europe and gaining experience. FMF will hopefully WAKEUP!!!!!
3 :
i disagree this first idea without Marquez,Guardado,Salcido,Pavel the tri is pretty much nothing they bring the most support i don't see us making the world cup with out them....yea maybe there is less chemistry but they adapt fast that's why they play in europe as for playing friendlies in europe that's a great idea IF we are playing a european team if not then no let them play over here let the mexican players in mexico have a chance to show off what they got
4 :
no cuz we tried that and we suck with out em
5 :
NO!!! THERE IN EUROPE FOR A REASON WHAT THEY SHOULD DO IS PRACTICE MORE AND HAVE MORE CHEMISTRY!!
6 :
Bro, i usually disagree with you but this time I completely agree.
7 :
Of Course! Mexico has to..! In the local ligue theres not players like the "europeos", Tell me do you think that kikin is better than Vela? Luis Perez is better than Pavel?? Mexican Press is going crazy, unfortuynately we are xenofobics, anyone who comes from othre country is not welcome in mexico, why do we have to act in this way?? Its a shape... I support Sven and the Europeos
8 :
YEAH IHEARD IT TOO...WELL I AGREE..BUT ONLY BECAUSE ITS A GREAT WAY TO GIVE THE CHAVOS A CHANCE...I SAID THIS TOO EVEN BEFORE FUTBOL PICANTE SAID IT...I HAVE BEEN SAYING SINCE MEXICO LOST TO JAMAICA..I GUESS NO ONE LISTENED
9 :
i know you did type alot i just read your question sorry. yeah i think they should bring pavel and nery and rafa marquez the rest que se quede.uhhhhhhh se me pasava mejor que traigan a masa rodriguez hahaha con ese gol que se anoto last week de seguro lo traen con eso que traen a todos porque no a el haha. yeah just rafa, nery, and pavel.
10 :
All we need is just 4-5 europeans and that's it. Why need so many? Guardado Rafa Marquez Salcido Pardo Osorio those 5 are all we need
11 :
Money talks.
12 :
no cause Mexico doesn't understand each other anymore since players are in Europe and other are not
13 :
I agree with you on the whole, playing friendlies in Europe. It would gain the Mexican team more experience and chemistry. Although we all know that all the FMF cares about is the money. Which is gay...
14 :
No, many teams play with European players and have success. Such as Argentina, Brazil, even the United States. We should start looking at Eriksson.
15 :
If we play without europeans we should just hang ourselves now.
16 :
Remember copa america we played with mainly mexicans and we did just fine i think it should be that way.

lmao are u drunk or crazy with this one

IMF to issue bonds: will this accelerate the dollar's demise?

IMF to issue bonds: will this accelerate the dollar's demise?
"IMF Board Authorizes Debut Bond Issuance to Fund Aid (Update1) " http://www.bloomberg.com/apps/news?pid=20601087&sid=ankFTAhAUk68 to quote By Timothy R. Homan July 1 (Bloomberg) -- The International Monetary Fund’s board of directors approved the issuance of bonds to the lender’s 186 members for the first time as it seeks additional sources of money to lend during the global recession. The board made the move in a vote today and did not place a limit on the note sales, Andrew Tweedie, the Washington-based IMF’s finance chief, said on a conference call with reporters. The bonds are part of a wider effort to seek $500 billion in new funding as the lender helps countries from Iceland to Pakistan combat the global financial crisis. The securities, the culmination of months of talks between the fund and its members, will offer the largest emerging-market nations a new way of making IMF contributions while they seek greater say at the fund. China, Brazil and Russia have favored the bonds instead of regular contributions as they wrangle with other members over redistributing the IMF’s voting power. “We expect other countries will follow suit, perhaps other emerging markets,” John Lipsky, first deputy managing director at the fund, said in a Bloomberg Television interview today. “Also, some developed and advanced economies may find this an attractive way to participate in international support for the IMF’s efforts.” Buying Plans An IMF official, speaking on condition they not be named, said the board initially considered limiting the bond sales to $150 billion, based on the level of interest from member states. Board members decided against such a cap because IMF needs will evolve over time, the official said. China’s government has said it will buy $50 billion in notes. Russia and Brazil last month said they would each buy $10 billion of bonds from the IMF. India has also indicated it would contribute to an IMF bond program. The four nations make up the so-called BRICs. “This is a victory for the BRICs, particularly China,” said Claudio Loser, the former director of the IMF’s Western Hemisphere department. “Because they will be investing in the fund they will have, directly or indirectly, some say in the governance of the fund that goes beyond their quota.” The IMF’s “quota” system allocates voting rights to member states based on their financial contributions. The note sales probably would not reach the $500 billion in new funding that the lender is seeking, Lipsky said. Drawing Rights The notes will be denominated in Special Drawing Rights, or SDRs, which represent a basket of currencies consisting of the U.S. dollar, the euro, the yen and the British pound. Note sales denominated in SDRs would be paid interest on a quarterly basis, the IMF said. Chinese officials have sought a greater role over time for SDRs in an effort to reduce the U.S. dollar’s dominance in the global economy. The current official rate for SDRs is 0.37 percent, set using a weighted average of three-month rates in the component currencies. That compares with the 0.195 percent rate for three- month U.S. Treasury bills. One dollar is currently equivalent to about 0.65 SDR. The IMF makes money on its loans by charging countries more than the SDR interest rate. The fund’s board agreed June 22 to keep its lending rate unchanged at 1 percentage point above this year’s SDR interest rate. (end quote, click the link to read the whole article) Did you notice that they decided to NOT place a limit on the note sales?

It could contribute to the dollar's demise, but I have a feeling our own gov't is doing more to ensure that than the IMF is. The part that really got me was this: 'The IMF’s “quota” system allocates voting rights to member states based on their financial contributions.' So in other words, the more you put into the fund, the more your vote is worth, as far as the IMF goes. It's corruption at the very highest level; and we thought our gov't was screwin' us. Well, it is, but this is worse. What happens to the nations that can't contribute to the 'fund'? Will they be lied about and other countries convinced they are terrorist states? The IMF/World Bank is evil. They do more to put and keep dictators in charge of severly impoverished countries and when those countries default on loans, (the dictators know this at signing) that when they default, all tax revenue, natural resources and industry becomes the property of the IMF. It's evil, there's no other word for it.

Why is it that every bit of news I see, or hear feels like the end of a Monopoly game where the winner starts taking everything you have with every roll of the dice? The only differences are that this is real life, and I'm watching my country fall to the elite world bankers, and my rights disappear one by one. To have a sucessful globalization/New World Order/one world government I believe it requires that the currencies throughout the world are leveled, and all currency becomes one, or equal value. Basket of currencies?! Hmm...This looks top be exactly what they are doing. In the big picture of global economies I'm thinking Mexico is about middle ground. We have soo much to look forward to don't we? When the American dollar crashes, and our economy becomes like Mexico's I wonder if I can cross the border into Canada and get free welfare, and healthcare like Mexicans do with us? I've believed for years that the IMF, and Federal Reserve have a New World Order agenda, but seeing them set up the whole main structure in just a few months is astonishing, and mind blowing. I never would have thought America would fall soo quietly.
3 :
I believe it will, yes. It is a new currency. The reason they can fix their voting rights based on each members investment is that it is the elite PRIVATE Banking industry. It is its own entity of private corporations and individuals.

Games on internet can be dangerous for your family.?

Games on internet can be dangerous for your family.?
One of the most sought out sports on the internet is billiards or other active sports. I have played real billiards for 46 years and have been overseas playing, even at Reyes training center in Makita, Philippines. I got whooped, but was not myself.. my step-son and friend was in the hospital for brain injury by scooter accident. I had told him always to wear helmet. He did not that day as he went to an Uncle's birthday party and had too much. Now back in American I found several sites to play online. I am too far for real and love real stick. I found that honesty involves what Country the game comes from! We may think that is a money thing and that would be logical. One site in Brazil is so crooked they have to use site internet to keep you from winning on the free part! It appears that those that are citizens of Brazil... maybe part of the government, can give some sign and you loose the internet.. although the site does not tell you this has happened! They just do not play! This occurred 10x more if the opponent is a lady? It has chat so one can chat with the opponent. Great.. but you will loose 1 of 3 games by internet site problems or special privilege for Brazilian or paying players. I have not played the money side because I cannot have honest play on the free side. Now, think about your child.. billiards is a great game and is fun. But what if they join to make money? They see the site is not honest if they can play well, and yet that is not an objection for money play. I have confronted players on the site. Yes, I can be very good in real.. many times on that site.. But others can stop the game and you loose.. and it is their turn! Watch what you children do online! It is all for money.. on most sites.. especially game sites!

The bigger question is why kids would be playing with real money to begin with. Furthermore, playing for real money is illegal in many US states.

I think playing for real money rewards constitutes gambling, and would be illegal in most areas of the country. In other words -- don't do it. It's illegal so of course it's going to be shady.

Foreign transaction fees are a monster. Especiallly on debit cards. If you are traveling you really need a credit card. Capital One offers one without ANY foreign transactions fees. Just call them up and ask for it. Even with a bank of america credit card, the fees will be lower than one of their debit cards...
2 :
hmm its visa. but just get money exchanged here in the US before you go to brazil. It would be much cheaper without withdrawal fees. :) but visa is best..ive used it when i traveled to Mexico, argentina, costa rica, and moscow. its great.

Husband went abroad to find work... can I expect him to come back?

Husband went abroad to find work... can I expect him to come back?
I am Brazilian, he's American. We met up in Florida and married up there 5 yrs ago (no kids). We lived up there for 5 yrs and in Aug. this yr we moved down to Brazil, which he had agreed to. Now he just went back up there to work (over the road truck driver) last Thursday, and he keeps saying he will come back, but each time we talk he says different dates. He didn't want to find work here or even give it a try learning the language. He said he went up there to make money to support me. But he has always been flirty with other girls even when we were living up there, he had online profiles on dating sites, he was addicted to pornography, and our relationship was most of the time difficult. I don't want to go back living up there because he said I won't have to work, I will stay home. Does it seem like he wants to keep me at home to do his crazy stuff? Do you think I can believe him when he says he will be back in 4 months? Well.. I love him very much, but I never could trust him, because when I did, he disappointed me and did one more wrong. He always lied to me. I've always been truthful to him. Yes, it's true, we never talked things over. I tried to sit and reason with him "what's best for us as a couple?", trying to consider both our needs and wants. He wouldn't talk, he would turn the TV on or walk away, or play computer games to ignore me. He always wanted to get jobs that would keep him away somehow. Before becoming a truck driver, he wanted to be a flight attendant, or work in a cruise ship. It's never been something to stay close to home, or include me in his life. I guess I'm trying to make him love me. But love is not selfish, right? I've put many things in my life in second just to make him happy and our marriage intact. I've never been unfaithful, never spent his money. His ex wife had left him and he accepted her back after she cheated on him. I guess he likes the bad girls.

3 :
Do you want to live the rest of your life in Brazil? If yes, it seems like your husband won't return and you're better off getting divorced and finding a guy who's already in Brazil and wants to stay there. If you and your husband don't agree on this main issue, then there's nothing to hold onto. Let him go.
4 :
im sorry but hes gone , if you do not mind him being a woman niser he will be back
5 :
It sounds like you don't trust your husband, and you were having issues before you married. It also sounds like both of you didn't really discuss what expectations you had concerning work, residence and long term goals. With the challenges you were having before, you should have gone to premarital counseling or not gotten married. You don't mention anything positive about your marriage or that you love him. Do you think you can believe him? I think you already know the answer. You should see an attorney about legally ending your marriage both in Brazil and in the States. I don't believe you want to be in this situation, there's no real reason for you to stay.
6 :
I think that if he truly loved you and wanted to be with you he wouldn't be doing this to you. You deserve to be treated like a princess. Ditch the loser and find yourself a true prince.
7 :
and you want him back because......? This is one dude you should be saying "Hit the road, Jack".
8 :
you love him, but dont trust him......doesnt make sense. he's a truck driver.....my brother -in-law is a truck driver and does the same to my sister. she handles the bills and their 3 kids while he's on the road. he cheats on her constantly and she knows it. it's not a healthy relationship. all the hookers, bars, etc. i'd say wait it out. if he's not home in next 4 mnths--seems like a long time to me--file for divorce. usually my brother in law is only gone for a couple weeks at a time. good luck
9 :
I suggest that you read the book "out of the shadows: understanding sexual addiction" by Dr. Carnes. You need to get help from a professional counselor asap.

Does anyone plan to watch Art Of War 3 MMA on June 30th?
It's MMA in a cage just like the UFC. There's so much time in between UFC live events, I think this will take off and fill the gaps. They have a pay per view event on June 30th, 2007 featuring Jeff "Monsoon" Monson vs. Pedro Rizzo (both UFC stars) which caps off a USA vs. Brazil theme. What do you think? Is this a dumb investment or is there a chance it could launch? It's only .05 cents a share. Risking only a little could make good money if it's only moderately successful.

At $0.05 a share, i would buy into it too. put a couple hundred dollars into a growing sport...it's not a bad idea. UFC is the most popular but i don't think people are to picky when it comes to watching good fights.

Due to high gas prices why doesnt the U.S. look into making fuel from sugarcane like they are in Brazil?

Due to high gas prices why doesnt the U.S. look into making fuel from sugarcane like they are in Brazil?
Its been 30 years since the gas crisis in the 1970's. Why didnt we move toward different fuel sources after that? Are U.S. congressmen and senators backed by "big oil" that they dont look at alternatives because they would stand to lose money. We could put farmers to work growing sugarcane....
Current Events - 10 Answers
Random Answers, Critics, Comments, Opinions :
1 :
no....it turns out it takes more energy to make biofuel... better off finding something else or god forbid we start conserving.
2 :
1. Big oil is in control to some extent. 2. We cannot grow the amount of sugar cane that Brazil grows due to climate.
3 :
Because biofuels are not cost-effective, and cause high fuel prices to spread into higher food prices. Soon everything will cost more... sounds like artificial inflation to me. I have an idea; let's drill for oil in our own country, and maybe build a refinery or ten. It will drop the price of both crude oil and its component products, employ thousands of unionized Americans, reduce the trade deficit, support the dollar, and stop enriching terrorist-friendly regimes. We could build some nuclear plants as well. We don't need undiscovered pie-in-the-sky solutions; we have solutions that work, but won't employ them for political reasons. Hope is not a strategy. Neither is change.
4 :
We could import ethanol form Brazil, but the Congress imposed a tariff to discourage it. Apparently alternative fuels are a good idea only in so far as they subsidize American agri-business.
5 :
You're right, we should have moved towards a different fuel since the 1970's. The one word answer to your question is politics! But converting corn to bio-fuel is a bad idea because it almost takes as much energy to make it as you can get from it. However, converting sugarcane to bio-fuel is much better. But the USA has price support for the domestic production of sugar. The domestic sugar is about double the price of international sugar. The domestic sugar lobby has connections in Washington, D.C. In Brazil, they would like to export ethanol, produced from sugar, to the USA. However the USA has a tariff on it that jacks up the price. This protects the domestic sugar producers, again. We got the best government money can buy!
6 :
You know Brazil over a decade ago bought a lot of the EU wine lake to convert into fuel. Now why didn't the EU do that themselves one asks. In fact every motorist in the world would love to know these kind of things how to make items we have a surplus of to make fuel. I sure would and I don't drive have not for seven years in fact but I still have an interest in motoring. Where are the plants in Europe turning our wine lake into fuel? Why have they not got the Brazilians to shear this great achievement with the rest of the world. A world where what is not needed can be used when in surplus to fuel our transport systems.
7 :
Because our government is always a slower learner than one expects.
8 :
Synthetic fuel is better. Converts biomass, coal or natural gas. It's best to keep your options open.
9 :
Our farmers should be put to work growing food. Not fuel. Burning food in our cars and trucks is immoral and obscene. Wait until the price of food rockets upward like gasoline is. The howling and whining will be loud indeed. And it is coming soon. Ethanol is a cruel hoax being pushed by the liberals and environmental wackos. The gas crisis in the 1970's was caused by Jimmy the buffoon Carter interfering with oil production and refining. There is an important lesson in that. Expensive gas is better than no gas.
10 :
The legend of food crisis was created by an oompa-loompa called Hugo Chavez. Brazil ALWAYS used alternative energy, and today we have millions of cars using biofuels, without any food crisis. And it´s only US$ 0,50/liter, with the same efficiency of gasoline.

9 :
BAD decision from FMF
10 :
They cant play against teams that are more popular then mexico because then there would be a conflict of sponshorships and tv rights for example a mexico VS England in mexico Televisa would air the game in England their largest TV network would broadcast it but mexicos largest market is in the US. thats were the problem is in the US who would broadcast the Game Mexico would probably want Univision or Telemundo, but England wold probably ask for GoalTv or Sparta or even a PPV chanel. Thats why all the games that La Torre promised wont happen
11 :
They need the expierence to win the world cup. since they just play easy teams thats why they havnt won a world cup. They need expierence to know how they can beat the best teams
12 :
It's Campeon and Di maria trying to squeeze money into their pockets I hope the narcos do us a favor
13 :
England and Holland are teams that Mexico will play in April/May. Aguirre wants to finish his roster and needs playing time as a tryout.
14 :
Well its not official yet, Nestor De La Torre will come out with the complete schedule next week. We are playing Uruguay in the World Cup and playing two teams from the south american region is not a bad idea. By the way its preety hard by now to get good teams to play against, most teams are already playing someone else this is why we are stuck with these teams but rest assured that we will play Germany since Germany has a contract with Addidas same as Mexico.

Wow - my head is REALLY in the clouds ...?

Wow - my head is REALLY in the clouds ...?
I'm dating a guy from Brazil - he's a carpentar, doesn't make any money, and doesn't care about anything other than going back to Brazil to live by the beach. I, on the other hand, am an only child from a very wealthy family. I make a lot of money in my job but I also deal with a lot of stress. Often I fantasize about running away to Brazil and just living on the beach, not caring about having a good job or making money ... Is my head in the clouds? Am I being absolutely ridiculous? My friends think I'm crazy.

It is a little strange that you want to leave your good paying job for a broke man in Brazil, but who am i to judge. I think stranger things in my mind on a regular basis. I wouldn't recommend that you do that, because it is not fun struggling through life or "dragging the ground". Some people say that money can't buy happiness, so maybe you should marry the guy that you like. However, i would recommend that you just drop everything and move with this man. I think that you shoud move him to where you live at so that you can live in comfort and still have money. If you want to go back and take vacations in Brazil and visit his family, then that would be a not so bad idea.
2 :
go for a holiday of a month or so. See the other side of the story. You are wealthy you can offer yourself this. Do not take drastic decisions. A man who hates to work is a looser and you will find out by yourself
3 :
don't do it unless you love him. it sounds like a fling and they aren't forever.
4 :
When we're stressed, we'll look for anything to help us escape. Running away to Brasil sounds appealing and romantic, and no doubt, you'll like have a good time -- for a while. But think in terms of your life over the long term. He may or may not be in your life very long. What if you get pregnant? Then what? What foundation are you laying for the rest of your life? You will at some point need to get your own life going. Apparently your family wealth doesn't immune you from stress. And anywhere you go, you'll experience stress, whether in the US or in Brasil. Will you going to run away again? Or will you learn to handle it in creating your own life? Of course, no one can make a life decision for you.
5 :
It depends on what you want in life. If you would be happy being with a man you love, living by the beach, and having not much else, then perhaps that is what you need. If you have been dating him for a while, and really think he is a good guy, then why not go to Brazil for a vacation, and try living like he does for a week or so? A friend of mine went to Brazil recently (she is a Brazilian-American), it is a beautiful place, but don't forget there is a lot of crime in the cities. If you like Brazil, you could study Portuguese, and try to get a job down there. You will have to think long and hard about your goals, what you want in life. Good luck!

Hi everyone, I'm brazilian, I living in Hong Kong for 5 years already, I'm just not happy here. Hong Kong can be a modern city, nice, etc. but it's too depressing to be here, I hate the fact that people are materialist, they are not friendly at all, you get the picture. They always look down on you. To be honest I have no future in Hong Kong. I feel like I want to go back to Brazil, at least I'm happy there, I know its a poor country but we are stil happy, unlike hong kong people they are always greedy, thinking always how to make more money. We all know money is important but there are so many things much important than money for instance our family, friends, etc. We only have one life. Anyway I don't have a job, Is it possible to borrow money from the brazil council? What do you think? Thank yo by the way I'm 21 yrs old

Is there someone at home in Brazil who can send the money to you? Go to your consulate in Hong Kong and see what they suggest. Maybe you could get a job there since you are unemployed, speak the language and are familiar with the customs. That way you'd get money to go home where you are happy and until you return to your home, at least you'll be around similar people at the consulate. Just a thought. Hope it all works out for you. Good luck!

Do women apply more scrutiny when it comes to marriage?

Do women apply more scrutiny when it comes to marriage?
For example a man has no problems marrying a Filipino or a girl from Thailand or Brazil or any other country that is considered to be lesser (no bashing on that 1s second and third world are valid therms) and if she has no income potential and not even owns a bank account thats no biggy either. Do you think modern working women have as many choices or are they far more likely to restrict marriage candidates to those who come from a first world country and make their own money ?

smart women marry smart men. average women marry everything else. X-)
2 :
Of course. Women don't think with their private parts.
3 :
Modern working women have as many choices as the next person. Whether they bother using them is a personal matter.
4 :
Men tend to choose beauty over the ability to make a living. Women tend to choose the ability to make a living. The reason for that is evolution - people want to mate with people who can have healthy children and will help care for them. Of course, it takes a lot to determine if a guy will be faithful, be able to provide for the baby, be non-abusive, or whatever. So I suppose that's a bit different from "she looks healthy to me". I do think that most men getting married probably put a little more thought into it than that, and want a spouse with good qualities, too, but you get the idea.
5 :
Of course they do. If handled correctly, marriage for women is a temporary position that has excellent benefits and a more than ample severance package. Men don't focus on material gains from marriage whereas women often do.

Did you know as ACORN legal council & trainer Obama taught protesters how to extort money from banks IT WORKED?

Did you know as ACORN legal council & trainer Obama taught protesters how to extort money from banks IT WORKED?
ACORN is a front organization for over 300 corporations, all run by the same group of criminals. Obama knows this, he was their legal council and he also trained people in tactics on how to Extort money from banks. Goldman Sachs got attacked by ACORN, their people went to the CEO's home, and they got 5 million $$ in donations from Goldman Sachs. Not only should Obama be investigated, but so should Goldman Sachs for paying them off and giving billions in bad loans at their behest. YEAH I SAID BILLIONS! WE HAD TO BAIL THEM OUT! THIS SCREAMS FOR INVESTIGATION! WHY WON'T THE JUSTICE DEPARTMENT EVER INVESTIGATE DEMOCRATS WHEN THERE IS SUCH OBVIOUS PRIMA FASCIA EVIDENCE AGAINST THEM? BUT THEY WILL MAKE A FALSE INDICTMENT AGAINST REPUBLICANS THAT THEY WITHDRAW AFTER THEY LOOSE THEIR ELECTION AND THEIR CONSTITUENTS ARE DISENFRANCHISED! Obama and ACORN require investigation NOW, and there needs to also be an investigation into the Justice Department, The relationship between Obama and GE / NBC and Obama's giving 1 billion to Hamas and 2 Billion to George Soros, or his biggest investment in a Brazilian oil corporation to drill off shore in Brazil while he won't allow it here in the US. This garbage needs a lot of looking into and I feel that thousands of people are involved and need to end up in jail. This includes our President. I don't ask for an investigation BY the Dept of Justice. I ASK FOR AN INVESTIGATION OF THE JUSTICE DEPT.

5 :
he only thing screaming is you and your idiot buddies...talk about garbage! "thank god for fox"!!!!! yeah somebody has to make this sh*t up
6 :
Yawn, when is the wolf coming...?
7 :
And somebody taught the banks how to extort money from the government and the people.
8 :
I agree. If obama is involved he should be removed from office. And if any others on either side are involved they should be removed from their positions.
9 :
Thank God for Fox News or you wouldn't know any of these facts. Obama is corrupt as they come. E=mc2...Obama=acorn2
10 :
Did you know that you didn't post your source.... what... are we suppose to just take your word for this.
11 :
Thank you for such an informative rant. Could you provide some links or sources next rant. Thanks.
12 :
Your points are will taken. However, you ask for a investigation by the justice department. I loudly disagree with you on this point. We will never have a fair investigation by a justice department with an attorney general who is appointed by Obama. I call for, and have asked my representatives, an investigation by a independent nonpartisan committee.
13 :
Sadly, anyone who relies on the main stream media for information, doesn't know any of this. The corruption of the media might be this country's biggest problem. How can people stand up against tyranny and corruption if they don't even know it's happening. Half the country still thinks Obama is this great man of the people who is post racial and post partisan, who is taking on the "evil" corporations and special interests.
14 :
And you received this information straight from G-d?
15 :
You know you have a full blown fascist movement going on when nothing the cult leader does will ever be seen as wrong. Even when he made the Patriot Act more invasive into US citizens lives after promising to dispose of it in his campaign, his followers have no problem with it after railing on it for years. The debt he is putting up is much higher than his estimates, even much higher than his admission of a 2 TRILLION $ oppsey. Democrats hated Bush for a deficit caused by a War the democrats got us into as well, now they don't care. What the heck is going on is this country? Something is deeply and extremely rotten deep within the corrupt bowels of this country. The outlet is often Chicago and New Orleans ... who would have guessed?
16 :
...calm down...whatever they told u ..it s not true...lol
17 :
The only thing your question screams is the LOOSE CHANGE in your head.
18 :
you sound like a raving lunatic! what are your sources for these misconceptions? oh and the site biggornment.com doesn't exist....

some smart arse
2 :
it is diferent in many countries as you now it and diferent in other languages with a few diferences, nobody invented it it is based on latin and greek alphabet, then each language took the letters they needed according to the thing that controls the languages, well that's what i think
3 :
The ancient Egyptians had an alphabet that consisted of 24 letters.
4 :
It is true that the form of the alphabet we use, along with most of Europe, is the "Latin" alphabet. But it had nothing at all to do with South America. In fact, the Romans, who first used these specific letters, did NOT invent the system. It actually goes back several stages before them. It goes like this: the ancient Romans borrowed from the Etruscans who borrowed from the Greeks who borrowed it from Phoenician merchants who inherited it, along with many other Semitic-language groups in and around Syria-Palestine (including the Hebrews). The earliest forms of this SEMITIC alphabet go back to almost 2000 B.C. We think that it was first used by Semitic people on the borders of Egypt (in the Sinai Penninsula, perhaps) under the rule and influence of the Egyptians. The best guess may be that they took inspiration from ONE part of the complex Egyptian system (hieroglyhpics) -- specifically, a set of signs developed from writing foreign names. By the way, the very NAME "alphabet" points to its origins. We get that word from the Greek letters "alpha" and "beta" -- the first two letters of their alphabet. But these names meant NOTHING IN Greek. Rather, the Greeks borrowed many of the letter names from the Phoenicians along with the letters. The first two letters of the Semitic alphabet were "aleph" and "beth", which mean "ox" and "house". The SOUND that these letters represent is the first sound in those words. Actually, you can pick up many English dictionary and find as the first entry under each letter a history of that letter, its names, etc., and you may also find a chart showing how the ancient Semitic letters gradually changed to the shapes we recognize in the Latin alphabet.
5 :
Greeks took the Phoenician alphabet, which contained only consonants, and combined it with Aramaic signs, which were used in order to transcribe the Greek vowel sounds: A (alpha), E (epsilon), O (omirkon) and Y (upsilon). I (iota) was an innovation. The result was the Greek alphabet from which Latin, Coptic, Armenian and Georgian alphabets derive.
6 :
I think that you are a little behind in the school. In the first term, which alphabet ? The Latin, the Greek, the Cyrillic, the Arabic, the Chinese or which one ? Many people have been involved in it for a very loooong time. We might begin with the Egyptians, who used a symbolic writing, but became extinct. Then came the Sumerians, with a writing on clay tablets made with symbols like |||, ¯. Later the Greek made their alphabet, from which came the Latin one, and the Cyrillic, used by the Russians and the Bulgarians . Now, regarding the Latin alphabet ( the one we use in most of the world ), the Romans, 20 centuries ago, dominated most of Europe, and therefore, that is the alphabet that languages from European origin use. Thus, it was the Romans, 25 centuries ago, who invented our alphabet. Sorry. It wasn't Mexico nor Brazil. About the Arabian , the Chinese, Farsi writings I don't have much information. Sorry. I can say, nevertheless, that the Chinese writing ( used also by the Japanese, with some modifications ) does not represent letters, but words. In Chinese, words are very short, and thus, they can be represented by these characters. No, when the alphabet ( the one we use nowadays in the USA ) was invented, nobody used copyright. They were better times
